Couple’s membership is $40.00 (all membership privileges plus newsletter) and $50.00 per Household membership (includes 2 adults, 2 kids under 18 at the same address, all membership privileges plus newsletter). Commercial memberships are available for $50.00 per year (includes newsletter, membership privileges & business card size advertisement in each newsletter).
Our mission is to share our knowledge and love of plumeria with others. The society is a place to both learn and share information. Meetings include a different presentation topic each month and are typically related to what’s happening in the garden that time of year. Past topics have included general care of plumeria, use of fertilizers, rooting new cuttings, grafting, repotting, and how to deal with plumeria pest/bugs and more.
Many of our members support the Hawaiian culture, and so there have also been presentations about the history and culture surrounding plumeria in Hawaii, as well as lei making demonstrations. Island attire is encouraged, as well as music and the politeness of the ohana culture.
Members share in supporting the refreshment table each meeting and it rotates through the alphabetical listing of last names of members. The raffle table is also supported by member donations.
We hope that you will join us at a future meeting!
Mahalo!
